Our history
The beginnings
Founded in Saint-Jean-d'Angély by egg producers looking to diversify their expertise, Avi-Charente launched its very first dessert: the authentic "Egg Pudding," the cornerstone of our future range.
Expansion
We expanded our traditional offerings to include baked rice and semolina cakes, which quickly became staples of our dairy expertise.
The Senoble milestone
In 1996, the acquisition by the Senoble family established Avi-Charente as a key player in Private Label desserts. This era was marked by prestigious achievements: a Gold Medal in 1997 for our "Île flottante" and a SIAL Innovation Award for our unique Crème Brûlée process.
Pastry Innovation
Innovation accelerated with our Chocolate Cake, voted "Product of the Year 2004." we also launched the first Lemon Meringue Pie for the retail chilled section and diversified our Floating Island recipes.
Plant-based diversification
Adapting to new consumer trends, Avi-Charente invested in a dedicated plant-based production line. This strategic move made us a leader in the Spanish plant-based market.
Gourmet momentum
Our growth continues with a new production line for premium, individual-serve formats. In 2022, we reached a new milestone with the launch of our first ranges dedicated to Global Export.
